It was obvious that many nations, globally, including Nigeria, were under lockdown for the major part of 2020, no thanks to the Covid 19 pandemic. Many infractions, especially on employment contracts could not be sued as many courts, including NIC, National Industrial Court, were affected by the lockdown.

Glaringly, many summons would be achieved behind the scheduled three months of limitations, in industrial matters. Will justice be seen as being served, were such cases thrown out on the grounds of exceeding the limitation period?
